Stunning Silk Regency Ballgown with Lace Overdress
I sent a question back during the fall while I was sewing my daughter's Regency gown with removable overlay (she wanted two dresses in one).
Regency Costumes for a Group
The team I play in always costumes, and this year we chose the theme Regency, so I searched found and bought your patterns. I found them very easy to make and very fast to make.
Early 1900s Worth Ballgown
This is an absolutely incredible early 1900s ballgown by Frederick Worth. His designs are the ultimate in style, detail, and fit. This is a pre-1905 evening gown with layer upon layer of rich fabrics, trims and floral accents. Definitely drool-worthy!
Reproduction Silk 1860s Ballgown by Kay Demlow
This is my golden silk 1860s ballgown, made for me by Kay Demlow of Lavender's Green in 2000. I told Kay I was ready for a new gown (two babies had quickly "moved" me out of my old gown!), and I said I was thinking of a pale gold. Kay knew exactly what I wanted and got to work right away. The results were breathtaking!
Lynn's Regency Crossover Ballgown
The crossover bodice is great, and very flexible. All in all, it was a success and she seems very happy with it. She is a pianist and was concerned to have freedom of movement and comfort, and it passed on both cases. She is preparing for a Regency performance of music and readings, so I think will fit in well.

Cynthia's Regency Ballgown
Dear Jennie, Thank you for the kind feedback. I enjoyed making the gown. If you ever run into anyone who needs a gown and wants to travel to Santa Barbara, I’d might be happy to ‘knock a gown out’ for them! I was a tailor/seamtress in college, and though now a dentist, I still
